Field Service Technician - Pewaukee, WI

The Field Service Technician and Warehouse Clerk plays an important role at Fromagex. He will be responsible for implementing projects at customer sites. Working in partnership with manufacturers and the project manager, he will participate in the technical study of the equipment on site, find a solution if there is a problem and validate the local requirements and compliances. He will also be responsible for shipping, receiving, and maintaining inventory at our Wisconsin facility. 

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

Start-up and maintenance 

  • Manages equipment start-up, resolves issues to meet performance commitments; handles production follow-up and problem resolution. 
  • Provide service proposals based on equipment requirements; prepare orders and assemble components and parts;   
  • Provide Service on request: site surveys, PI&D implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting.  

 

Spare parts service 

  • Coordinate and adapt the product for the North America market with the product manager; 
  • Provide support for equipment homologation with the relevant authorities; 
  • Select upstream part components for manufacturing equipment; 
  • Manage spare parts requests: selection, procurement and stock control before shipment to the customer. 

 

Warehouse 

  • Prepare packages for shipment and send them to customers following company procedures; 
  • Unpack items sent to the warehouse by manufacturers and suppliers and store them according to company protocols; 
  • Store various warehouse items in their designated areas; 
  • Receive products returned by customers, examine them for various types of damage and ensure the shipping department resolves any problems before they occur. 


 

Desired profile and skills

 

  • Degree or technical certification; 
  • Significant experience in electromechanics and pneumatics; 
  • Basic principle of automation; 
  • Fluent English, French and Spanish (a plus); 
  • Proven Field Service experience;  
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and maintain technical equipment; 
  • Proficiency in Autocad, Solidworks or other tecnical drawing software; 
  • Experience in food industry; cheese industry (a plus); 
  • Request to travel in the USA, Canada and Europe; 
  • Ability to work independently and take measured initiative; 
  • Ability to support a remote team.
